During the first Movement Control Order in Malaysia (March - May 2020), Tenaga Nasional Berhad had rolled out a few initiatives to to lighten everyone's burden when it comes to their electricity bills. One of the initiatives was Easy Payment Plan, an installment plan designed to give customers an option to pay their electricity bill over the course of six months.
TNB customers are automatically enrolled for this plan, and can opt out by making their first payment using the regular amount (not the Easy Payment Plan amount). That way, we take it as an indication that they do not need to enrol for the plan and would like to continue paying as per usual.
We enrolled a tooltip on myTNB App to cater for this installment plan, to ensure that our users are aware of their payment options.
